In The OMG What Were They THINKING? Category

Look what I just got in the mail yesterday:

Yes. That is my son.

My dysautonomic son.

My dysautonimic son with $50,000 worth of titanium in his back.

My dysautonomic son with $50,000 worth of titanium in his back dangling from a zip line.

My dysautonomic son with $50,000 worth of titanium in his back dangling from a zip line looking very happy.

My dysautonomic son with $50,000 worth of titanium in his back dangling from a zip line looking very happy at Camp Simcha Special this past summer.

So it's all ok.

But still. OMG.

And hi Asher, I see you in the background. I blame you for this nonsense (just joking).

EDITED: Benjie just corrected me. $50,000 of titanium? I think not. The titanium was $75,000 just for the doctor bill. You could add another $30,000 or so for the hospital bill. So we're talking upwards of $100,000 of titanium. Nice.

Did Dovi actually get to Zip, or was he just hanging there. I hope he at least got to zip. And first I thought this pic came from recent "Winter Camp" and I thought with his obvious summer clothes, that they take the word "camp" way to literally. I miss summer!

Orah-
I believe he did zip, not just hang. Although on last year's video, there was CRAZY footage of a boy with severe CP being swung back and forth between 2 counselors. They are crazayzay there.

Hmm crazy is a little harsh...ok fine maybe it fits. Asher rotated for the ropes course so I take zero responsibility!! lol

We just got Sachy's pics from CSS too. I haven't managed to scan any in yet, though. Since mostly he tries to live in the game room, I'm not sure if he got quite so adventurous as Dovi did.
Actually the scariest story Sachy ever brought home was a few years ago when one of their activities right after Tisha b'Av was a "shave the counselors" game. Oh and that was combined with a game wherein they stuck duct tape to the counselors' (hairy) legs and the boys got to rip it off!

It is a cute pic though! What's 100,000 compared to happiness, right? (Maybe)
