Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Your blog is wonderful. I love your honesty.
You asked me about the painted brick. I too, had some dog fugly brick when we bought this 1970's home. Before you paint, you need to prime it with a special primer for brick called concrete and block filler. It is thick and lumpy and gross, but necessary. It helps prevent the paint from peeling right off. then I chose a shade one color lighter than the adjoining room and went to town. The best thing I've ever done. Now if I could only scrounge up some cash to hire someone to paint the outside of my fugly brick house, we'd be in business.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting me. Hope you will come back.
I'm really, really proud of this post. Like insanely so. It's almost 11 years in the making. I feel strangely cleansed. I want to hang it on my front door. And remain on my blog forever. So I'm making a linky-loo to it. Put in your blog too if you like it. If I knew how to put a button on my blog with it I would. My Magnum Opus
